Migration

Today in Human Geography class we learned about migration. We learned about mobility and the different types of movement. We talked about how my family was from Philadelphia as an example. I went to Thanksgiving in New Jersey. My mom's side is from Philly and my dad is from Harford County. When my mom married my dad we moved to Maryland. Then, my grandmother moved to New Jersey. Those are types of migration. My family are migrants, where we moved a short distance away. Immigrants are when you move to a complete different country. Immigration can be forced upon people when they need to get out of their country fro certain push forces. Or they just want to move to a different country for certain pull forces.
